I had the honor of documenting my sister-in-law's wedding and we opted to do a quick photo shoot prior to the ceremony. Although it goes against tradition, we were able to capture their excitement and joy in a private setting prior to the group festivities. A genuinely beautiful and sweet couple, I am so happy that I had the chance to capture this moment for them. I wish them all the happiness.
One Last Adventure

Colombia is a beautiful country. The amount of beauty that surrounds you on a daily basis overwhelms, and you sometimes forget to take note. Or, as is the case with photography, you are not always able to. On this last adventure in the country before my return to Canada we went hiking up the mountain not too far from our house. With my camera concealed in my bag, I was determined to document some of the beauty before I left. The area was isolated and not particularly safe to be flaunting valuables, but I managed to sneak out my camera and snap a few pictures.
Cartagena

Cartagena. A tropical, historical, port city on the Northern coast of Colombia. Beautiful, hot and touristy. We came here at the beginning of my year long adventure in Colombia. I wish I could have taken more pictures that captured the genuine feel of the culture and the locale, but as with any place in Colombia, it's not always wise to pull out a camera in public. These pictures were taken during a bus tour which ended at the Walled City - a magically beautiful place full of European architecture and a lively night life.
Lets Start at the Very Beginning

It seems fitting, in a way, to start with these images. I have been meaning to enter this online journey for a while now. I've started, and stopped, and started, and stopped, multiple times before. I have been sitting on a collection of images, allowing them to get dusty, old, and irrelevant - too frightened to share them with the world. And so here's to the beginning of a new journey. A new adventure. A new journal.
These photos are a snippet of some of the family and scenery photos I took on a visit to see my lovely sister and her now husband near Jasper, Calgary.
